September WCA Meeting 9/22 7PM

  • Wednesday September 22, 2010
    7PM
    Bon Air Library meeting room
Bon Air Library: 9103 Rattlesnake RoadRichmond, VA 23235-2939(804) 320-2461
    Get Directions from any location

Please join us for our monthly Woodmont Civic Association meeting this Wednesday, September 22nd at 7PM at the Bon Air Library on Rattlesnake Rd.

We generally have only 6-8 people at these meetings, including the four officers, out of our neighborhood of 500 homes.

The WCA needs volunteers and help to provide the small services that our neighborhood would like to have, including the newsletter and neighborhood directory. With the departure of some long standing volunteers and the lack of volunteer replacements, the small group of 4- 6 people are unable to keep up with fulfilling the needs of these positions, at least not in the manner we would like. In other words WE COULD USE YOUR HELP, PLEASE.

We have a vacancy in communications and could use help with the WCA newsletter and the directory. We also have no chairperson or volunteers for the membership and social committees. These positions are not difficult. If you have any experience with newsletters, printing, layout, ( preferably in Page Maker) Please let Yvonne know, 804.560.3574 or yvhagen@verizon.net

Thank you. We hope to see you at the meeting!

Woodmont Neighbors Night out

(Click photo for larger image)

The WCA hosted the Woodmont Neighbors' Night out on Friday May 14th. The neighborhood turned out at the St. Edward's pavilion to enjoy hot dogs, watermelon, music and great company. Adults and kids tried their skills at "minute to win it" challenges and the kids enjoyed the inflatable bounce. A huge Thank You goes out to All of our neighborhood volunteers led by WCA Vice President Ellen Wood. Thank you to St. Edward's for allowing us to use the pavilion. We hope this will be the first of many great neighborhood events. If you'd like to help organize an event contact Ellen Wood.
